That whole time I was just waiting for her "brother" to kill her, it didn't surprise me when it finally happened. I'm just glad Wen Ying was fine.

I really liked seeing the others come protect Shouxue and Gaojun, it was cool to see. I just didn't expect the relationship between the Raven and Xiaoyue to be of siblings.

The action sequences in this ep were *chefs kiss* I guess, when an anime usually isn't full with battle sequences it hypes up the moments that do have some action.

Guess the golden fat chicken actually has a use next to being like a barking guard dog.

Ahh, it really has a good build up till now, I wonder how they gonna wrap it up in a single ep.

This show has better fight scenes than most of the fantasy/isekai we have this season.

At lot of lore drop in this episode. What's great about this show is it isn't one dimensional. The Owl is justified in ending the Raven's torment and suffering. What we originally thought about the Owl and the Raven turns out not to be true. Interesting to find out where we go from here. Will Shouxue end the Raven's suffering or keep her imprisoned and in pain?

Not really fair to Shouxue tho, she didn't want to be the vessel either. The more I watch, the more I find that the First Raven Consort is a srsly selfish woman...
Originally, I pitied her abit because even tho she loved the emperor, she was confined her whole life in the palace (even if she herself accepted it). But now, I find it hard to pity her anymore...
How can she be so selfish, She might be happy and free to do anything for the one she loved, but that doesn't mean she can just condemn all the women after her to a lonely and painful fate like that... She should have made sure that the only one she 'sacrificed' is herself.
Hopefully, they find a way to release the Raven or put it to peace without harming Shouxue... She has also suffered too much... (The demise of her country, having to witness the decapitated head of her mother, being sold into slavery, and then having to bear the heavy painful fate of being the Raven Consort...)

finally a bit of mystery related to raven consort was revealed. Just one episode left..idk how they're going to cover it up in 1 more episode!! hope they announce new season too.

Grief really could put anyone in her position even if it's a fleeting thought especially with how well the clay doll looked like the brother. I've seen what some people sadly will put their loved ones through while they;re on hospice because it's hard to let go and it's harder to acknowledge that you're causing them to suffer because you don't want to face a world without them.

I don't think anyone can really tell what people in anime is saying from the lip movements... because most animes only make their mouths open and close like a goldfish... (unless it's necessary to the plot/fan-service where there's a close-up of the character's mouth and the animators bothered to really put in the correct lip movements)
Hell, even for real life dramas, I heard that sometimes lip movements not reliable too. Like for some of the actors/actresses with shitty acting skills, when they forget their lines, they just say "1,2,3,4,5. 5,4,3,2,1" and then they will just dubbed over it...

Penultimate Episode floored me as what we thought we knew was the truth. Was only so, from a 'certain point of view.' This changes everything, especially if there is a possibility for Shouxue.

nah, the master is just a normal sorcerer.....the owl made the body and acted like normal person and end up taking the vacancy for being the student of his master cuz the intended student died....it's just a way for him to blend in and find his way to reach his sister....i guess if he just force his way in, the soldier might try to stop him and he had to injure or kill alot of innocent people....like he said, he dont want to kill innocent girl, but seems like that's the only way to end his sister.....

I think the brother was torn. He wanted to end the misery of his sister but he also gave her hints to become more powerful and be able to protect herself. I knew that the power she got was slowly killing her. I just hope this does not have the typical tragic ending and that our girl ends up turning the tables and devouring the Raven and herself becoming the new goddess .

No idea how it'll end but I never thought of Shouxue dying, from episode 1 & the obvious love forming between her & the emperor, to snippets of her curse/issue with the raven, to the repeating ending theme song has always given me the thought that the emperor Gaojun will die most likely protecting her or freeing her.......When he mentioned helping to free her which he's obsessed with of his own free will I thought it more certain.
I don't want it to have a dark ending but majority of royalty stories end so & that scene during the ending theme when she's watching him sleep & the lyrics said during that point gives me foreshadowing anxiety that he may die, The 'In your eternal sleep' & she's staring at him with his eyes closed is heavy feels.
But I will pray for a happier ending! I hope im misinterpreting!

Also… Is it just me or the girls chosen to be the vessel are younger & younger after every vessel? Like the dolls in the flashback literally got smaller?

So, basically, Xiao Yue just created a homunculus. Didn't he learn about the law of equality exchange? And he has a serious case of siscon. Living for millennia doesn't make him grow up at all, it seems.

Joke aside. The truth behind the Raven Consort was more twisted than I expected. Seems like the only way to set the Raven Consort free is to separate her soul from Niao Lian but that will end up killing her. I'm really curious to see how this going to unfold

This episode was like a lore bomb detonating lol, but man did it have me hanging on every word. I can't wait to see how they wrap up this season because there's a lot of things left to expand on!
